Techniques We Use
The Webster technique is a highly sought after technique in pregnant women that allows for the restoration of proper pelvic function. This technique may help with the prevention of dystocia, or difficult labor. Dr. Emily Brown is fully certified and proficient in the Webster technique through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). In addition to Webster technique, Palmer Package is used to aid in the correction of subluxation. Palmer Package includes: Gonstead, Diversified, Thompson, and Toggle Recoil.
fREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: How do I get adjusted while I am pregnant?
A: For pregnant women special table modifications will be made to accommodate mom's tummy as the baby continues to grow. These modifications allow her to lie on her stomach without putting any pressure on the baby.
Q: How early in my pregnancy should I receive care?
A: The sooner the better-this is why we are strong believers in preconception care! The more we can prepare mom's body the more comfortable and healthy she can be during her pregnancy.
Q: Are there any supplements I should be taking while I am pregnant?
A: Yes, however, this will depend on your specific needs. We will collaborate with your Midwife/ OBGYN to make sure we give you the best care possible.
Q: What training/qualifications do you have in pregnancy care?
A: Dr. Emily has had an additional 200 hours studying pediatric and pregnancy care through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). This field of study has equipped her with tools to best suite your needs during this time.
